In this interview, Yaya Ballo, an expert in agriculture and rural development, shares his reflections from an exchange visit that highlighted the keys to building stronger rural communities. He emphasizes that diversification of activities, experience sharing, and training are crucial to strengthening resilience.

He also stresses that agricultural financing must become the next major challenge — at the macro, mezzo, and micro levels — if rural populations are to secure long-term opportunities and stability.
